Positive Security Model (allowlist / known-good)

PLAIN-LANGUAGE DEFINITION · COLDRECON REFERENCE LIBRARY
Definition

What is Positive Security Model (allowlist / known-good)?

A positive security model enforces a known-good system state and rejects unauthorized change by default, rather than detecting known-bad. Prevention by construction: it does not need to recognize a threat to stop it, which removes the zero-day detection window that detection-led tools carry.
